This is Hana's second year doing a Science Project. She decided to test the "Five Second Rule" at the school cafeteria. We were very pleased with how this school lays out the project for the kids- where each part of the project was due on a weekly basis. Steve & Hana worked hard on getting the idea clear, executing her procedure, and working on the wording that has to be just right. She turned in her project last week and yesterday was the Science Fair where Hana was judged by three people, all with different questions. She did great and received a 3rd place ribbon for her work!

We are so proud of her. She put a lot of work into this project and to receive a place in her category- Medicine & Health, was such a nice recognition.
Not to be outdone, Evan and his Second grade class submitted a Science Project that they worked on too. Evan was among the 4 students chosen to give the presentation to the judges.

His teacher, Mrs. Edwards is always challenging the students and I think having them do a Science Project among the "big kids" was a great way to do that. The project received a nice participation ribbon. But more than anything, got Evan's brain working on what he might do for his official Science Project. He said he wishes he could do it sooner than 5th grade. So I had him write down his ideas so when his time comes, he'll be more than ready.
