congratulations evan!

Our Evan celebrated his First Holy Communion on the 5th.  He worked very hard with his CCD class to prepare for this very special occasion and we are so proud of him and feel so very blessed.  He really wanted to wear a real suit and he looked so handsome in it.  I did have to laugh during the ceremony as after Evan received the communion {the host was dipped in wine}, he looked over at me and made a "gagging" face.  I'm thinking, "really, son".  I guess it was to be expected because I know how it tasted too when I was 8 years old. 

Evan's wonderful Godmother and her family made it in to be part of the day.  We celebrated later with a small party, with a few other families at the house.  It was nice sharing the day with our old & new friends.  Congratulations Evan!
