I never, I mean NEVER-EVER, thought our family would be a baseball family. But I am officially eating my words! Evan started the baseball season on the Scrappers last month. He's inherited his dad's natural talent and love for sports, so I knew baseball would be next on the list of sports to try. I stayed away from baseball for a long time with him because I just didn't want to get involved with the politics & intensity of little league. I know now that I'm sorry I ever kept him away from it because he's pretty good at it {if I do say so myself}.
Evan has been #2 for every sport he's played that has required a number and it was funny to see that the tradition would follow him here.
Here's Evan at the ready on 3rd base.
Then here with his proud dad after the first game.
Steve came straight from work so he wouldn't miss a thing.
We also made it to our first Nationals game of the season. I do not like watching baseball on t.v. but we all like going to the games. There is something to be said about a ball park hot dog, cracker jacks, and the seventh inning stretch. We scored a couple of Strasburg bobbleheads during the opening week. I never thought I'd say it, but yes, take me out to the ball game!
