Yesterday we felt the 5.8 earthquake that you've probably heard about by now. The kids and I were at a thrift store and felt the ground and everything else around us shake. Luckily nothing came crashing off the walls and no one was hurt. I think everyone in the store was surprised more than anything. Hana and Evan were both a little shaken up. Steve was at work at a meeting and went on his day as usual. He did say some buildings were evacuated but he came home at his usual time. Of course being in D.C., many things raced around our minds as to what it could be. I never imagined I'd hear that it was an earthquake.
We are all fine though and really appreciate everyone's concern. Off to continue our day as planned...I think.
